Living with shame leads to hiding within the walls of our secrets. But this only leads to feeding the lies being whispered. Here is why we need to be vulnerable and confess.

Here is the honest: Our sin can lead to us feeling shame and this need to hide the ugliness that mars our hearts. But this leads to secrets, and secrets feed the enemy’s lies. It makes us feel alone, and that we are isolated.

Here is the truth: In James 5:16 we are told to confess our sins to one another so that we may be healed. The Lord knows that by doing this, the lie loses its grip on us. We will then be able to experience in the flesh the grace and forgiveness the Lord offers to us. We will know that we are not alone, but we are loved.
